This week's menu plan will hopefully feel more like feast than famine. (which is how this challenge is perceived by some)
I shall attempt this great feat (I feel like a circus announcer) by adding sides to each meal, and dazzling my family with wonderous variety with each meal. We're talking lunches and suppers. (Breakfasts are pretty standard for now...)
Ladies and Gentlemen... we present to you...
The Meal Plan
Aren't they just so cute in their period clothing? |
Monday:
Breakfast: pancakes, strawberries, bacon.
Lunch: picnic - meat pockets, peach slices, pumpkin and apple pie, almonds (and would you believe some family members STILL refused to eat?? The pie wasn't the right temperature. Oh my...)
Supper: McDonalds. We celebrated, because the kids volunteered 2 hours at the laundry station at our local museum, and loved it. One eagerly scrubbed the wash with soap, the other muscled that crank like nobody's business, ringing out the wash. Crowds gathered, children jumped in and helped (sensing our enthusiasm methinks), and a reporter snapped a photo. They may make the local news ;) Celebrating with burgers and icecream is well deserved ;) EVERYBODY ate until they practically burst. Yeesh...
